Re: Scott SInclair
It was mentioned on the Brendan Rodgers thread, that any mediocre player who's been in the Prem league and moved to Scotland has become a world beater, Dembele now being mentioned in the £30m bracket. Sinclair is another in the bracket of all of a sudden looking a world beater, however, in a crap league.

Very good player. Average PL player, at best.

Still would Eddie B, of course.

Sven

the cross border 'bosman' rules between Scotland and England meant that he could go north of the border for substantially less than if he had gone abroad or to another club in England. I suspect that he and his agent pocketed a rather decent signing bonus, or have a large sell on % fee for doing so.

Re: Scott SInclair
Dembele was touted as going to several foreign clubs and then Spurs for £10m and then ends up going to Celtic for £500k or something. Very odd
Think he scored 15 to 20 goals for Fulham so obvious why some were looking

The only positive is I presume Spurs moved on as they went for Janssen instead. Still no Premier league goal from open play.

Re: Scott SInclair
They are very few and far between, and Scottish football has got worse,Dembele is young and not tested yet the silly money they are touting for him is daft at this stage,I will give you van dijk he looks an excellent player.

Grumpster

comparing di canio and larsson to scott sinclair is a bit silly, they proved elsewhere that they were top class players, sinclair spent 7/8 years in the premier league and had ONE decent season.

Re: Scott SInclair
Yep, those Di Canio and Larrson fellas were wank as they only scored in Scottish football........

Wouldn't want that Dembele either.

I mean it is a shit league, but doesn't mean that there aren't the odd good players in it. I know Sinclair isn't Ronaldo, but look at us and what we have.

Am thinking most also didn't want van Dijk because he was at Celtic and wasn't tested much and he looks excellent. Well he did when able to run.

Re: Scott SInclair
He scores a lot of goals in SCOTLAND not England,so no thanks,he didn't do to well when he played in England before.

Grumpster 3:33 Tue Apr 4
Re: Scott SInclair
Don't think he's a bad player.

Am guessing he wasn't given much of a go at either Chelsea or Man City and the Villa team he was in was absolute gash.

Clearly no world beater though, so would depend on the price.

Guessing most would rather him than Snodgrass though.

Re: Scott SInclair
Too old. Locked into a long contract. Bad value, little upside, a terrible target.

I expect us to bid.

Re: Scott SInclair
Sent out on loan 8 times at Chelsea and Man City
Failed at both and then was a failure at Villa
Was 'ok' at Swansea

In a word, no. Never impressed in the PL imho. Nearly 29 and found his level in the equivalent of the third division.

No.

He's got a nice bird, though.
